Summer of Cinema at Ramat Hanadiv
Wednesdays in August, 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Ramat Hanadiv is continuing its summer tradition of opening its gates on Wednesday evenings during the month of August, offering family fun on the lawn.
This year, come enjoy green energy activities in the pleasant atmosphere of sunset and cool breezes, in the hours between light and dark.
Activities for all ages beginning at 6:00 pm:
Create energy by pedaling bicycles, participate in a green circus workshop with different juggling props, learn how to create shapes in a guided origami workshop, have fun in a huge bubble workshop and a drawing in nature workshop.
At 6:30 pm – Enchanting Flutes – a wondrous and surprising musical journey led by flute virtuoso Itzik Levy who will introduce the audience to a wide range of flutes, stories and songs as he takes you on a "journey around the world".
At 8:00 pm – solar-powered screening of Movies for the Whole Family
August 5, 2015: Animals United: Adventure in Africa (with Hebrew dubbing) – The animals of the Okavango Delta await the annual flood they rely on for food and water. But this year the flood is late and Billy the mongoose and his best friend Socrates the lion journey to a leisure resort built on the Delta to try to figure out the problem. They discover that the greedy humans have built a dam and set out to resolve this situation…
August 12, 2015: Khumba (with Hebrew dubbing) – The story of a young zebra born with only half his stripes. When his superstitious herd blames him for a sudden drought, Khumba sets out on a journey with Mama V the sassy female wildebeest and Bradley the flamboyant ostrich in search of the legendary water hole where the first zebras got their stripes.
August 19, 2015: Dolphin Tale (with Hebrew subtitles) – A moving family drama based on the true story of the first female dolphin to be fitted with a prosthetic tail. 11-year-old Sawyer is a lonely boy whose life changes when he finds an injured female dolphin while biking by the beach and joins marine biologist Dr.Clay Haskett in his efforts to save her, even if it means fitting her with a prosthetic tail. Young Clay also finds hope for love with Dr. Haskett's daughter.
